Colegio Leonés San Isidoro

Located in the historic town center, next to the Royal Collegiate Basilica of San Isidoro, the Colegio Leonés de San Isidoro is the heart of our institution. Since its creation in 1896, it has been an educational reference for thousands of young students from the city of León.

Our mission

We educate students committed to the idea of striving to be better every day. Teamwork, commitment and empathy are the guidelines that have moved us for more than a century. We believe that each student is unique and exceptional, and that is why we put all our efforts into establishing an emotional and ever-lasting bond with our students.

Installations

Currently, our school in San Isidoro encompasses educational stages and levels that range from kindergarten to 4th year ESO (mandatory secondary education levels). The classroom for three-year-old kindergarten students is strategically located on the ground floor so as to isolate it from traffic and movement within the school with independent access, just like a nursery. Parents and guardians can access this same corridor to drop off and pick up their children. The classroom, like the rest of the kindergarten classrooms, is equipped with an interactive whiteboard, computer and projector. In addition, it has its own bathroom.

On the first floor are the classrooms of our four- and five-year-old students and the first four grades of Primary. Familiarity, along with informal communication, teaching transversality, ease of control and the serenity of the groups are clearly noticeable walking through the corridors.

In the upper corridor, we find the rest of Primary and all of the Secondary classes, all, once again, equipped with computer equipment and projectors, given that the development and daily use of ICT resources within the classroom is another particularity of the center, as the virtual classroom is widely used in all areas.

Finally, some of the characteristic elements of our illustrious San Isidoro school include a Gymnasium, music and computer rooms, psychomotricity room equipped with specific material for psychomotor stimulation, orientation department, chapel, assembly hall and fully equipped kitchens.
