Methodology

Our innovative work method has placed us at the forefront of education in Leon in recent decades, making us the educational center with the largest number of students in the province.

We have motivated teaching professionals in continuous training, capable of bringing out the best in each of our students and with the ability to create an optimal working environment in the classroom. Cooperative work, theming in classrooms and hallways, reading sponsorship among students, activity of the protagonist of the week, dramatic play in pre-school education, introduction to music and sports, mindfulness in the classroom, personalized tutorial action plan and quality bilingualism are some of the educational methods that define us.

COOPERATIVE WORK IN THE CLASSROOM

Our educational project strongly believes in the cooperative interaction of our students during the course of our classes. From Pre-School to Baccalaureate teaching staff promotes the socialization of our students in work groups.

THEMATIZATIONS IN THE CLASSROOM AND HALLWAY

Every school year we work on several cross-cutting themes in our Pre-School and Primary classrooms. With this we get our students to be immersed in another scenario thanks to the decorations that set the classrooms and hallway: ancient Egypt, the bottom of the sea, a medieval castle, a museum, a cinema…

PROTAGONIST OF THE WEEK ACTIVITY

The protagonist of the week is an activity that we develop with all the students of the infant stage. This activity consists in that every week a student of the class becomes the protagonist and during every day we carry out activities where the student in question is the main character of the classroom. The student becomes the person in charge of the class, the first in line at the entrances and exits, they tell us things about their likes and dislikes, about themselves and their family and the rest of the classmates talk about them and draw them, etc …

DRAMATIC PLAY IN EARLY CHILDHOOD EDUCATION

Dramatization with children is one of the most rewarding activities in the classroom for us, since we encourage their creativity from an early age. When the student becomes a pirate, fairy or superhero, they are using their imagination and creating dramatizations in a natural and unconscious way.

INITIATION TO SPORTS IN EARLY CHILDHOOD EDUCATION

We want our students to develop healthy habits from their first years of school coexistence, and that is why we consider sport as one of the cornerstones of our educational method. Our aim is to avoid sedentary lifestyles at an early age, to promote the coordination of the child from pre-school onwards and to instill in the process values inherent to sport: effort, teamwork and sportsmanship as an educational and physical resource.

We implement motor training processes and use the game as an essential didactic resource in the teaching-learning process through sport. We aim to form happy students, capable of developing their social skills, feeling part of a team and always in movement, because “child” and “movement” are inseparable at this age.

WEEKLY MUSIC INITTATION IN EARLY CHILDHOOD EDUCATION

Early initiation in the arts favors the areas of intellectual, sensory and social development of the child, and the inclusion of an hour of musical initiation in our Pre-School classrooms increases our students’ relational learning and emotional intelligence, as well as the child’s overall communication and understanding of cultural and social diversity.

MINDFULNESS IN THE CLASSROOM

The practice of mindfulness in the classroom brings important benefits for our students in kindergarten and primary school: it improves their attention in schoolwork and a greater awareness of their emotions. Mindfulness has its origins in Eastern meditation practices and in the ability of people to concentrate on what is happening in the present.
