School Canteen
We have our own facilities, with fully equipped kitchens and daily elaboration of the menus by our team. Parents can coordinate their children’s daily meals through the publication of the monthly menu that we provide on our website. All students can sign up for the school canteen monthly or daily at the secretary’s office of our centers before 10:00 am.
We prepare personalized menus, with specific diets for those who have special needs due to health, allergies or religion. If a student has any food allergy, he/she must inform the school secretary at the beginning of the school year. Sporadic diets must be communicated in writing to reception before 10:00 a.m. each day. Our team serves meals from September to June – both months inclusive.-.
Students are accompanied at all times by teachers who make sure that they eat properly. Students from 3rd grade of Primary School onwards have one hour of supervised study time at midday, which they use to do their homework.
We promote healthy and sustainable food every day: this is the basis on which we constantly work. In our kitchens, fresh and seasonal ingredients, local products and homemade preparations, straight from the kitchen to the plate, predominate.
We only work with products of leading brands, taking the utmost care in their transport and reception, storage temperature, expiration date, etc.. Whenever possible, we take advantage of the products of proximity.
Our human team ranges from nutritionists, chefs, assistants, canteen caretakers… All of them make sure that the foods that children find difficult to eat at home (such as certain vegetables and fish) are introduced little by little, learning to appreciate flavors and finishing their school cycle being able to eat everything.
The strict controls that help us to guarantee the best hygienic-sanitary conditions in the food production chain are carried out by LABOTEC (based in the town of Armunia), a laboratory that periodically analyzes our facilities, handlers and food.
